Tantalum Foil

Admat supplies coiled tantalum foil in a wide range of thicknesses and custom widths. Our strip is precision rolled, annealed and shipped on sturdy cores for safe shipment. Admat’s tantalum foils are produced to meet typical ASTM, AMS, or specific deep draw specifications, we also welcome customer developed specifications.

Admat offers both powder metallurgy derived and electron beam processed tantalum foil. The powder metallurgy grade tantalum foil is perfect for deep drawing and stamping applications. It ensures drawn parts have a smooth surface, free of cracks and pits. The isotropic properties of the tantalum foil help to avoid erratic can height or “earring”problems. When ordering this foil, specify “Powder Met Grade” or order to ASTM B708 RO5400. Electron beam melted tantalum foil is rolled down from melted ingots. For shallower draws and stamped parts, this grade of tantalum foil is ideal. If ordering this grade, request ASTM B708 RO5200.
